Hi Community,
While working on a personal ServiceNow project in my Personal Developer Instance, one thing I underestimated initially was logging and traceability. It quickly became clear how important this is—even for small solutions.
A few takeaways that might help others:
• Add basic logs early to understand how automations behave
• Track decisions made by workflows or scripts for easier troubleshooting
• Use audit fields consistently for visibility and accountability
• Clear traceability makes explaining solutions much easier later
This was a self-initiated learning project, not production work, but these practices made a big difference in debugging and clarity.
