While working on a personal ServiceNow project in my Personal Developer Instance, I started paying closer attention to performance — even though it wasn’t handling real enterprise scale.
A few small adjustments made a noticeable difference:
• Avoid unnecessary GlideRecord queries inside loops
• Use indexed fields when filtering large datasets
• Keep Business Rules lean and purpose-specific
• Prefer asynchronous processing where appropriate
• Test with larger sample data to simulate realistic behavior
Even in a learning project, thinking about performance early helped me design cleaner and more scalable logic.
