Record Producer: Show Additional Fields on Button Click in Platform and CSM Portal

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement on a Record Producer where I need a control that looks like a button (or a field styled as a button).

Requirement:

• Initially, a few variables should be hidden.
• When the user clicks the button, those hidden variables should become visible.
• This should work in both:
  • Native Platform view (Service Catalog / Record Producer)
  • CSM Portal / Service Portal

why not have a checkbox type variable to control visibility of the other variables?

If you want button then create variable of type Custom and link UI macro and Widget

-> for native you can create UI macro and have some onclick event (UI macro will work in Native)

-> for portal you can use widget and then have onclick event and then show/hide variables (Widget will work in portal)
