Instance Scan timing out while checking deprecated APIs (GlideEncrypter) – no error logs generated

I am running an Instance Scan in a DEV environment and the scan consistently fails with a timeout while executing the “Deprecated API: GlideEncrypter usage” check.

Observed behavior:
• Scan completes but final status is Failed
• Error message: “The scan completed. However, one or more individual checks timed out.”
• Timeout occurs after 600 seconds
• Re-running the scan produces the same result

I also ran the Instance scan "Deprecated API: GlideEncrypter usages in selective String fields" in my PDI. It executed successfully but got this warning:

"The GlideEncrypter API will be deprecated for the ServiceNow platform. The API will no longer be supported and will soon be removed in future releases of the platform. Due to evolving security standards and for the safety of our customers, the decision has been made to deprecate this API. Customers should migrate their GlideEncrypter usages to alternative encryption methods. The ServiceNow platform offers a variety of encryption options. For more information, see

Continued use of the GlideEncrypter API poses a security risk to your data and will result in compatibility issues with future releases of the ServiceNow platform."
