I've been using ServiceNow Studio for a while now and I'm still blown away by how fast the text search in the file navigator is. I guess I've been conditioned by years of waiting for the nav to load, (while being blocked by UI elements in dashboards and forms, ASYNC when?) Anyway, I digress. I have been nothing but delighted by the speed of the nav, but there are still occasions where I'm not quite sure of the file name and need to do some additional filtering. Enter the Open list link.

Open list will open a platform sys_db_object list so I can filter files by more than just the display name.Open list will open a platform sys_db_object list so I can filter files by more than just the display name.

These two blue words open a familiar list view where all the additional filtering options are available. If you haven't drilled into a category or app, this list will display all, and I mean ALL, metadata files on the instance (all six hundred twenty-three thousand thirty-seven of them, at least on mine)

Yikes, that's a lot of metadata!Yikes, that's a lot of metadata!

When filtering the nav by a file category, this list opens all records from that categories table. e.g. A list view of the sys_db_object table will be shown when table is selected.

This link changes to App details when filtering files by an app. If you need additional filtering, open the App details page and use the Application Files tab to search.
