In the lead up to the holidays, let's explore 12 ServiceNow Studio features to get you into a new season of ServiceNow development.
This post will collate and summarise each day. Click the day links to read more about each feature
Day 8: No more scope switching
ServiceNow Studio has banished scope switching! When files are opened in a ServiceNow Studio tab, they can be edited regardless of the current session scope.
⌘ + / or ctrl + / is the shortcut to search for any metadata file on the instance. Search across tables, apps, files or even source code. Search from anywhere in ServiceNow Studio.
Keep track of files you frequently refer back to with bookmarks. Collate your own focused set of files so that you don't have to keep searching for that one script include with all the helper functions.
Confidently close tabs knowing ServiceNow Studio will keep track of all your recently opened files. Use recent files to combat tab sprawl along with bookmarks and search.
Day 4: Group tabs by app scope
Tab Sprawl can be a productivity killer when trying to work across multiple files at the same time. ServiceNow Studio introduces a new grouping and colouring feature, along with bookmarks and history to keep your work organised. Nice!
Change the way you view your files by sorting file types into friendly parent categories. Find Automation files such as Flows, Subflows, Playbooks, Data streams and Actions together in one parent category in the file navigator.
