Generative AI development features are huge productivity boosters when they are built seamlessly into developer tooling. Generative AI was on the horizon when the ServiceNow Studio project was launched so its inclusion was a consideration from the very beginning.
When creating a new flow, sub-flow or playbook, developers with the now.assist.creator role will have the option to "✨Build with Now Assist" Code generation just works in any script field you have open and App generation has a whole agentic experience built into the conversational side bar.
Now Assist can help developers Create a new, or update an existing application, simply pop out the panel, to get started.
The Create an app and Update an app topics are now only available in ServiceNow Studio.
Once all the information is collected by the AI developer agent, ServiceNow Studio will show a preview of the files to be generated in a new tab.
The AI developer Agent will use existing application context to fill in the blanks.
