Hi Community people,

I recently attempted the ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) exam using the company-provided coupon. Unfortunately, I was not able to clear it this time, and I’m feeling quite low about the result since I had prepared sincerely and worked hard for this attempt.

Below is my topic-wise performance for your reference:

• Platform Overview and Navigation: 75%

• Instance Configuration: 83%

• Configuring Applications for Collaboration: 50%

• Self Service & Automation: 91%

• Database Management and Security: 55%

• Data Migration and Integration: 87%

My question is — is there any option to retake the exam using the same coupon, or will I need to pay the exam amount again for the next attempt?

Also, I would really appreciate it if you could share any guidance or feedback on where I might be lagging, so I can focus better during my next preparation.

the retake costs 100 USD (+ taxes), see this: Retake policy - All Credentials 

Just these days it might be challenging as there's upcoming transition from Webassessor towards Pearson VUE:

KB0013209 |Transitioning from Webassessor to Pearson VUE FAQ  as a result of this, there will no longer be any vouchers issued. From 18th November on, the exams will be directly scheduled at the ServiceNow University.

To be honest, this is quite specific situation and I don't know how to proceed, go through the articles I shared above and if you don't find your answers, go to SN University > Help Centre (in the top) and Create case to have this explained/answered by SN Team.

It seems that if you review the 2 following categories then you should be fine passing it:

• Configuring Applications for Collaboration: 50%

• Database Management and Security: 55%

Focus your study on the areas where your score was lowest. For example : You scored 85% in UI & Navigation but only 40% in Database Administration — so next time, spend more time understanding tables, dictionary entries, and schema maps.”. Try to revisit the fundamentals course on Nowlearning. Also, Hands-on practice is the best way to pass next time — not just reading theory. Try to do mock tests.

Retake is possible, but you need to pay $100 and register for the exam. Since you are preparing, I’d like to share my experience to help you.

CSA is the first and foundational exam in your ServiceNow journey. Here are some tips to help you prepare effectively:

• Study the training material thoroughly – Go through it line by line, word by word, at least 2–3 times.

• Practice the labs multiple times – Do each lab 3–4 times. Don’t just complete them; carefully read and understand the instructions as well.

• Follow the official eBook – Review it thoroughly at least 2–3 times to reinforce your understanding.

• Consider supplementary courses – Some candidates have found Udemy courses helpful for additional practice and clarity.
