Hi ,
I have been working as a System Engineer for the past 4.7 years, primarily handling ServiceNow ticketing and support activities. However, due to limited growth opportunities in my current project, I am looking to transition into a more technical role within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
I am currently exploring two career paths:
- ServiceNow Administrator
- ServiceNow QA / Testing, focusing on ATF (Automated Test Framework).
I have started learning ServiceNow Fundamentals and exploring ATF to build my technical skills. However, I am a little confused about which path would be better to pursue in terms of career growth, learning opportunities, and future prospects.
It would be really helpful if anyone with experience in these areas could share their suggestions or guidance on which path I should choose.
Your advice would mean a lot and help me make a better career decision.
Thank you in advance for your support.

I would recommend starting with the ServiceNow Administrator role if you get chance to work within the ServiceNow ecosystem. As you gain experience, if you develop an interest in pursuing a QA role, you can always explore that opportunity and transition into it later.
