Deactivate Product Theme in Agile 2.0

In '26, our team will start managing our work using Agile 2.0 with sprints.  I'm trying to prepare by setting up our products, teams, sprints, releases, etc.

We have a lot of Products and Themes that were used during our implementation last year. Some we can use, but most we won't.

My specific question is about Themes.  There doesn't seem to be a way to deactivate or "turn off" a theme so it's not used going forward.  How do I "turn off" Themes that we don't want used anymore?

(I searched the Product Documentation and the Community and could not find anything.)

Bonus Question: If anyone has a tip for setting up SN for managing work using Agile 2.0, I'd like to hear it.

I appreciate your help and any direction you can provide.

Thank you!

@MBMRED ,

Currently there is no any built in way to deactivate or hide a theme the way you might archive or deactivate other records......so unused themes remain on the list unless you manually delete the records or restrict access via acl.......and it’s generally recommended to either remove unwanted theme records by deleting them directly (making sure you understand any impacts) or apply governance and naming conventions to avoid confusion going forward........and for setting up agile 2.0 most admins focus on clean product/team mappings, team capacity planning, sprint cadence and consistent use of value streams to ensure the board views and reports stay meaningful rather than relying on deactivating theme artifacts.........

If you found my response helpful, please mark it as ‘Accept as Solution’ and ‘Helpful’. This helps other community members find the right answer more easily and supports the community.

Kaushal,

Thank you so much for the information. My dev and I were just talking about how we can build an "Active" flag and what that would entail.  Not sure if it's worth it at this point.

Thanks again,

Mathew
