Group and Sub Group in Agile Board

We have a scenario in which multiple teams are part of an agile project. We created sub groups for each team and rolled up those into a group by way of making the parent child relationship.

While going to sprint planning we are able to view the items through the sub groups, but want to have a consolidated view of all the items using the group. But we are not able to achieve the consolidated view of all sub group under the main group.

Can anyone suggest how we can achieve this.

You can select on 'Group = Parent group OR Group.Parent = Parent group'. This will show you all stories/tasks for all of the groups.

Even though the group = Parent group selected, it's not displaying all the stories / tasks associated with all sub groups.

I assume you're using the Agile Board's tab Sprint Planning, where you select the group and the page displays the group's sprints and backlog. One problem here is that the teams have their own sprint structure, so the view would have to accommodate for a large quantity of overlapping sprints.

The functionality is not available OOB, but if you want to explore the possibility of doing a customisation, the content of the sprint planning view is controlled in UI Macro 'sprint_planning' : https://[your  instance].service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=sys_ui_macro.do?sys_id=c3cc2c8253723200d044ddeeff7b12e7

Note: I advise against customising this component, unless you absolutely 100% know what you're doing.

If you just want to see your project's backlog for all teams without the sprints, you can always use the Agile Board's tab 'Backlog' and define a project backlog. If you have selected the project's execution type to be 'hybrid' or 'agile', the system should automatically create a project backlog. All backlog definitions are completely arbitrary and you can make any filter conditions you want for your own backlog definition. This allows showing the backlog for multiple teams, based on the logic you want. You can also share the backlog definition with other users. See the documentation for creating a personalised backlog: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/washingtondc-it-business-management/page/product/sdlc-scrum/task/...
