Has everyone tried to integrate SAP MM with ServiceNow Financial/Cost Management module?

Hello,

we're discussing with one of our customer the chance to integrate ServiceNow with SAP MM, which they use to manage contracts and outgoing expenses. This is a quite frequent activity and the customer's employee could not handly manage the informations on both systems without any automation mechanism.

Has anyone tried to implement a similar integration?

That was pre 2014 or there about. SAP has open up their database now especially with SAP HANA (Native HANA/ HANA XSA). For those companies that dont have SAP HANA yet, there are lots of tools out there that can replicate SAP tables now.

I work in the 2 worlds (SAP and ServiceNow) and SAP has change from the way there were before (closed system) to what they are now (WIP but gradually the system is been opened up)

Yes, there are cases when it is possible. For example if you either use SAP HANA or 3rd party tools. But accessing for ex. the Oracle DB under an SAP ERP system is still definitely forbidden.

This was in 2017, they used SAP PI as a middleware and still got fined for 55.000.000 GBP...
