How to create an Interactive filter on Project Short Description or Number?

We are trying to create an interactive filter based on Short Description or Project number so that people can choose a specific project and filter all the reports on the homepage.

If it was possible, you'd have to know the short description or number to find your project. Seems like you'd be better off using a different filter like company, or caller, etc. Here's the available interactive filters: Available Interactive Filter types

What version are you on? We have done similar type reports in the Service Portal, but not sure if this is an available option... you would need to be on H at a minimum.

Hi Gita,

I confirmed yesterday that this is not possible without creating a custom widget to do the filtering. It does not work OOB with interactive filters. We are working on submitting an enhancement request that will make this easier in the future. That said, it can be done if you have PA premium because you can create new widgets. If you would like additional information on this, please let me know (but it does require PA premium)

Since you are on Helsinki, you can implement a project status portal that has this capability using the new Service Portal capabilities.

Here is an example of what we have put in an update set:

This status portal shows issues, risks, changes and the status report and can be augmented to include other data.

If you would like the update set for this, i am happy to provide it. Just know that it should be throughly tested in development first and adjusted for your implementation.

Starting in the Istanbul release, this type of portal will be OOB. 🙂
