How to know weather the role is paid or free role?

How to check weather the if we use some role service now charges us or it will be for free?

EX:

it_demand_user

it_demand_manager

resource_user

resource_manger

business_stakeholder

it_project_manger

Will service now charge by allocating these roles to users and how servicenow charges us is there any limit of using roles?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Sampath.

As mentioned by others, you should ALWAYS discuss licensing with your ServiceNow account team as they are the only ones who can answer questions specific to your contract.  The license types for these roles have changed over the years, so the particular license they would apply to in your case depends on what specific product you purchased at the time of your last contract renewal.

That said, each of these roles requires a license.  You can use Subscription Management to list which users have these roles.

Business_stakeholder is a role with a specific SKU.  So unless that user requires another entitlement, they would need at least the Business Stakeholder license.

All the others would be covered by ITBM Standard if that is the license model on your contract.  If you have the Worker/Planner type of license, then the roles ending in user would be part of worker and the others are part of planner.  If a user has any of the planner types, they would need at least planner and not worker.

Make sense?

Hi Sampath - I recommend contacting your Account Rep to get clarification on this one.

Hi Sampath,

Many of roles mention this in description part whether they are chargeable or not (e.g. approval roles)

But as mentioned here best way to know this is to get in touch with your ServiceNow Account Rep.
