Operational Resource Plan reporting

We have an ask to report on operational resource plans in the same way that we report on resource plans. Op plans don't have task associated with them so when the data gets added to to aggregate tables there is no task. So if we create a report on the aggregate tables we don't know what the operational resource plan is for. 

 

Example, here is an operational resource plan

In the aggregate tables you get this

Therefore you can't report on how many KTLO hours the resource was allocated, used, etc. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hi Chris

 

Operational resource plans should be used for non-project activities like training, Out of Office, personal appointment etc. These can be used to reflect the accurate capacity of a resource and hence, reporting for an operational resource plan can't be same as regular resource plans of projects.

For example:

Use Case 1: As a line manager, I want to know the allocation of my resources for non-project work so that I can validate the time charged by the resource

Report: I can build a report which gives me details (Meeting, Phone Call, Training, Out of Office) of resources reporting under me against different categories

 

Use Case 2: As a Resource Manager, I want to know the capacity of resources so that I get a visibility of their allocation against project vs non-project work
