Hi,
On the Project Form Process Flow we see the phases like initiating, planning executing etc are these happening based on some action or these are just a manual changing the phases ? What action moves the project from one to another?
Based on my research in the community many says this is manual but my manager is not believing and he wants me to show the documentation 😞
Is there anywhere in the documentation ?

Hello
Unfortunately, we do not have any documentation that specifically states that the Phase field must be changed manually. The only documentation regarding this field is here in the list of fields:
As a ServiceNow employee, I can confirm that this field is not calculated in any way and is indeed a manual selection. There are no related Business Rules or Script Includes that would modify this field from a calculation and is unaffected by the Project's current State.
Hopefully that clarifies things for you and is sufficient for your manager!
Hope that helps!
If it did, please mark as Helpful and consider setting the reply as the Correct Answer to the question, thanks!
