In the PPM module sets - either in the current release of Eureka or the upcoming Fuji - how would one go about creating a report that would cascade the past status reports for a given project into one view?
For example: I can create a report to display on my dashboard that lists the current status breakdowns (RYG) for all of the projects in my portfolio. What I would like to do is create a report for the individual PMs so that they have a view of the status reports created in each of the last [x] weeks for a given project. Executives sometimes also want to drill into an effort and view the past reports, as well.
I am sure this is probably fairly simple, but I am stumped how to create a report (that can be dashboarded) that will show more than the current values on a status report.
Any ideas?

Hi Sonja,
Do you have a moment to hop on a webex so I can see what you're doing and see if I can help? Shoot me a note at guy.yedwab@exploreanalytics.com and we can connect.

This is a problem we've had. At my last employer, we set up a 'Status' tab, did custom dev to be able to export/print the contents of only that tab to PDF. The PM was required to save & attach the status each week before writing the new status report. Then anyone with rights to go into project can see the history of status reports (the fact that you can't create folders with attachments is a pain as long projects end up with 52 status attachments per year that you'll have to dig through to get to other project attachments). It's manual, it's not ideal, but that was our solution.
Jeffce could answer any technical details on this, as he's the one who set this up.
Good luck & let me know if you come up with a better solution! Ryan Manning at ServiceNow is already aware of this need to capture & save weekly status reporting.

Thanks, Kelly! I am glad to know I am not alone and that this item is being looked at for future enhancement by SNow. We are looking forward to alleviating the extra burden on the PM of exporting and filing these items each week elsewhere since the information has already been entered and collected by the tool.
Regards, Sonja

Hi Sonja, I wanted to chime in on this thread from the perspective of the Fuji release. In Fuji we have a Portfolio Status list that contains all defined portfolio project views, aka project status reports. The flexibility is that you can create any number of portfolio projects/status views for the same project. Dashboard configuration, comments, etc. works the same as in Eureka. A portfolio gauge will list all Active portfolio project/status views. You edit the portfolio gauge directly to add report start date, end date, and change any of the indicators - Cost, Risk, etc. to display the appropriate information. Older status views can be deleted or de-activated. Hope this helps, let me know if you have questions.

We all may be talking different 'status'. Anna Scheib I'm referring to a weekly written status report that would include text boxes like Exec Summary, Current Accomplishments, Past Due etc. I assume Anna that you are referring to pulling stoplight colors and dates etc. correct? I'm not sure which Sonja Haas is referring to.
