We just installed the new Project Workspace, and it's really good!
I discovered a new Docs section, which allows folks to put project meeting agendas, project charters, and basically anything related to your project directly in your project. It looks like it may make organizing our projects easier, as we typically end up with hundreds of Microsoft Teams channels or SharePoint sites dedicated to managing the documents that get created as part of executing a project. The feature is described here: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/xanadu-it-business-management/page/product/project-workspace/task...
However, I'm having issues figuring out how to show people the documents I create, and there are typically two methods for sharing documents that I don't know how to do with the docs created using this new feature (in my order of preference):
- Direct link to a document. You can link to the Docs section of the Project Workspace, but there appears to be no ability to control which document is open when you follow the link. I can demonstrate this by using the same link multiple times in a new tab, but it has the last document I opened in a different tab up.
- Export to PDF or Word. Sometimes folks just want to send the document as an attachment, but I cannot find an export button for these docs.
Somewhat related, I noticed that I don't seem to have the ability to reorder the documents, they are stuck in the same order I created them in.
Maybe some of these features are coming down the pipeline? It does seem to be a very new feature. Thanks for the info!

Thank you for the post! It is a new feature that we are continuing to invest in. Your feedback has been shared with product management.
The team is working on using the docs section for project status reports as well. The designs include some of your feature requests such as sharing and exporting to Word or PDF. We have also released our first Now Assist capability within docs to help you summarize, elaborate, and shorten part or all of the doc. We will be continuing to invest in this and have some very innovative plans. Stay tuned!
If you would like to meet with someone to share your feedback on the existing experience and where we plan to go, I'd be happy to connect you. Please feel free to send me a note at carina.hatfield@servicenow.com.

Hello @Carina Hatfield , I would like to ask, if it will be also possible to use the DOCS on the Program or Portfolio level? I really like the DOCS feature but cannot also see any option to filter or have a list of the documents and assign them some attributes.
Our customer is interested to track lesson learned on the Program level and be to able to filter the list with records (e.g. per BU, date)
Would the DOCs be a suitable option for this in the future or is there some other feature you would consider instead or creating a custom table to track these?
Thank you

Update for folks: in looking at the Yokohama release notes for CWM, it looks like the direct link feature I asked for in this post is coming in Yokohama. This assumes that the docs feature found in multiple locations such as CWM and Project Workspace is the same, because I did not spot the same message in PW.
Thank you product development team!
