Here is the filter on the Resource Allocation Board

What i mean is, Just check the start and end dates of project/demand that is associated to those resource plans and just verify whether they fall on those dates.

Ok. Let me put in this way..
What was the planned_start_date and planned_end_date of PRJ001001 and DMND0001101? Can you please put the screenshot of those dates?

Steve - what Harsha was telling you was that the Workbench unfortunately does not check the RESOURCE PLAN dates, it checks the TASK dates.
First it queries the TASKS that fall within the selected date range, then it lists all resource plans attached to those. So regardless of the dates on the resource plans (which is what you have in your screenshot) - if the task dates are outside of the range, the workbench will not show them.

If that is how it works that is really unfortunate for the way we were hoping to use the tool. We go through a process now of analyzing all the IT related project requests for the year/quarter to determine what will get prioritize for execution. At the the time of this analysis there are not project or demand tasks created since it isn't an approved work effort yet. We just know that based on the description of the request and past work efforts... a give request will need "x" amount of hours of an analyst time.
It sounds like what you are saying is that we need to go into the demand or project record and create a dummy task just so the resouce request will show up on the resource managers radar.
