As part of the SPM Product team, I'm actively working on reimagining our Scenario Planning / What-if Analysis solution for the portfolio planning process. An example use case would be a Portfolio Manager, conducting annual planning, trying to make a decision of what work items to prioritize for the next fiscal year, based on her portfolio's budget, available capacity and the goals she is accountable to achieve. She would like to try out different scenarios until she lands on the best desired plan under the given considerations.
