Hi @Vaishnavi35 ,
I would like to confirm that 'Merge' functionality is NOT removed. It is still present.
For duplicate entries, you should see triangle shaped icon as shown below.
On clicking this icon system shows the message as shown in below screenshot to get the user's confirmation to merge the duplicate time cards.
On clicking the Merge option, both the time cards will be merged and you will notice that hours will be added for each day, in case they are entered on both the time cards.
Hope this helps in explaining two points
1. Merge option is still available.
2. The merge functionality - I am sure you are aware of this but added in case others find it useful.
Please mark the response as correct, if this answers the query.
P.S: Screenshots taken using the Vancouver release. This is also present prior to Vancouver release as well as in Washington release.
Thank You!

Hi Vaishnavi35
If a duplicate time card exists for a time card, you can merge both time cards to become a single one, except for time cards in the processed, approved, or recalled state. A duplicate time card is identified by comparing the values in the Short description, State, Task, Category, Rate Type, Resource Plan, or Project Time Category fields in the time card.

Hi,
Earlier even if the 1st timecard (Running IT example) is submitted, when I add the 2nd time card merge icon used to appear.
Right now even if 1st time card not submitted and duplicate time card is added merge option does not appear.
Thanks,
Vaishnavi

Hi @Vaishnavi35 ,
As I've shown in the below screenshots that if you have duplicate time cards, merge option is shown.
You have mentioned that even in the PDI, you are not getting this option. In fact in PDI, it should appear because this is out of the box behaviour.
If no customization is done then for the production instance, you may want to contact ServiceNow support.
Thank You!
