Hi Community,
Per the documentation for recalling a time sheet:
Result
- Changes the state of the time sheet and associated time cards to Recalled.
- Reverts the actual effort and resource hours in a project or demand created when time cards that have task types were approved.
- Creates negative expense lines to zero out the corresponding expense lines created when the time sheet was approved.
- Returns the time sheet to its submitter for modifications.
End users are not able to edit existing time cards on the time sheet or individual time cards. Is this expected behavior?
Thank you,
Heather

I'm not clear what you mean by "End users are not able to edit existing time cards on the time sheet or individual time cards". But if you are saying users do not see the "Recall" button in the Time Sheet Portal, the information below may be helpful.
After a time sheet has been submitted, if the settings are set to allow a recall (see below), the user should see a Recall button. Once the Recall button is clicked, the results you outlined above should occur.
To allow users access to the Recall button you may need to update the Default time sheet policy. Navigate to Time Sheets > Administration > Time Sheet Policies > Allow recall and Recall period allowed (days).

Hi Rae Ann,
The time sheets were able to be recalled. The user who submitted the time sheet was not able to edit the existing time cards on that time sheet once it was recalled, nor was the manager. Is that normal?
Thank you,
Heather

Hello Heather,
That is not normal, once a timesheet is recalled, the submitter should be able to update /edit the time and resubmit the timesheet. I just tested this in my instance and I was able to edit a recall timesheet with a test user with the timecard_user role.
Can a user with any one of these roles Sys Admin, timecard_approver, or timecard_admin the edit the timesheet?
Have you tried to edit the timesheet from the backend?
