We are in the middle of our implementation of ServiceNow SPM for our healthcare organization. We originally purchased the product for the IT PMO process, but have since had multiple other teams that manage projects across our organization show interest in coming on board. We do have adequate licenses for SPM to cover these other groups, but they have different workflows and required data sets that do not follow the same process as our IT projects. We originally thought about just setting up different portfolios for these groups and having different portfolio managers that would manage their process. Each portfolio could then also have certain data sets and workflows, but I read about teamspace and I am wondering if this is a better solution and an easier way for my support team when it comes upgrade time if we do bring on board these various other teams.
Any recommendations from other organizations on how you have set up multiple project processes in your SPM instance that isn't a nightmare when it comes time to upgrade? Is there a best practice when the organization doesn't have an ePMO that is driving organizational practices?

Hello Theresa! There are other record types such as enhancements, epics and stories that you can leverage. You could use CWM collaborative workspace management ( really still in development) but with workspaces you won’t be able to resource at least not yet. It is also tough to pull into lager work dashboards. That being said they are continually building out CWM so more exciting enhancements are coming. A few different ways to do it. - Kyle Finn - BayCare - Find me on linkedin if you want a more detailed talk. Good luck!
