I'm looking at a project roadmap on the Strategic Planning Workspace in SPM and see there are "Unscheduled Items" when you click on the sidebar. Product documentation says that an unscheduled item doesn't have either a start" or end date but doesn't provide the exact criteria for what constitutes an unscheduled item. Other projects that also don't have start or end dates are available to view on the roadmap schedule and are not unscheduled items. Has anyone encountered this before or have any insight into the criteria for unscheduled items?

I believe I know the answer to this. The key is planning state = prioritized for the planning item to appear in the roadmap section.
If they are Prioritized there are two possibilities:
* If they DO have an "Approved Start Date"/"Approved End Date", they appear on the roadmap in that date range.
* If the DON'T have an "Approved Start Date/Approved End Date", they appear in unscheduled items, until you either add the dates or drag them to the roadmap - which sets the dates.
Also note - if the "Approved Start Date"/"Approved End Date" is outside of the Plan's dates (set up in Edit Portfolio Plan/When you create the plan), they won't appear in the plan.
