what is the red line in the gantt chart

A red dotted-line, is displayed in the planning console gantt view.   I assume it may be the program planned start date (this project is associated to a program and portfolio)?   But why is it red and dotted?   Red is never a favorite color in a project plan or schedule

Sean, thanks for your interest and effort in my inquiry.   You may not be see the red-dotted line, if the project is not associated to a program or portfolio.



My company SNOW admins are working the incident; haven't yet escalated to HI ticket.   On a related note, the program planned start date is reeking havoc to the underlying projects.   It seems I am unable to reset the program planned start date; it is conflicting with project and project task start dates, causing errors and preventing timeline related updates.
