This morning we had a 30 minute delay on notifications being created/sent. This affected Incidents, Requests, etc. See attached screenshot example. User was assigned an Incident ay 07:00:31, but the notification did not get created/sent until 07:30:14. Any idea what could have caused this or where I should begin to investigate this 30 minute delay?

Hi,
One of the probably causes can be something that would have caused the event queue to be stuck, there can be a number of reasons for it like some bad query/job that took a long time or some worker node that was down etc.
Start by checking the event queue and node health. You can use the Dashboard provided by Servicenow

Hello, checking the event queue I found we have a process running at 07:00 everyday for a duration 25 to 30 minutes that was causing the delay on notifications. It just took a P1 showing up during that time for us to notice it was happening. Thanks!
