Are there any tips on this CSA exam to pass? I really don't want to repeat this exam since i have to pay another $300 to retake. I am trying to go over what i have learned so far, but i feel i am missing something. Are there sample CSA pre test questions were i can practice before taking the actual exam?

Hi @Laphosis ,

Only tip/trick is to read the material several times and slow so everything us understandable. Utilize some time to work with what you have learned instead of jumping into an exam.

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.

Hi @Laphosis

Tips for the CSA Exam (Certified System Administrator)

CSA is the first and foundational exam in your ServiceNow journey. Here are some tips to help you prepare effectively:

Study the training material thoroughly – Go through it line by line, word by word, at least 2–3 times.

Practice the labs multiple times – Do each lab 3–4 times. Don’t just complete them; carefully read and understand the instructions as well.

Follow the official eBook – Review it thoroughly at least 2–3 times to reinforce your understanding.

Consider supplementary courses – Some candidates have found Udemy courses helpful for additional practice and clarity.

Watch my experience video – I’ve shared my own preparation journey and tips here:

Good luck on your CSA journey!

All of this is good advice, IMO. I pretty much did the same. It does help to have experience with the platform. Even for those who may just be starting in ServiceNow or wanting to get in to it, you can use a free PDI. Udemy was helpfully for me. I enrolled in a practice exam Udemy course. It was much harder then the actual exam. Came to find out the author did that by design to help one understand the why and not just the how. It really helped on the exam. Understanding terms, correct names of tables, and such also helped. Like most IT exams they try to trip you up from time to time with wording. In the end it only took my 25 minutes to complete the exam and passed first try. Also carefully read the questions (trust me... there were times I answered and was like oh wait, after re-reading the question). I think you get 90 minutes and ability to mark an answer for review before submitting.
