We use the owning group function in knowledge management.
We are thinking of setting up a group record for the owning group without assigning a role.
A separate group exists for assigning roles.
Is there a problem with this design?
We would like to know if it is necessary to assign a role to the owning group itself.

Hi @bonsai ,
If you already have the required knowledge role then you do not need to grant a role to the knowledge owner group.

Usually group should be assigned role as best practice.
If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.

Of course I know this.
I want to know if I need to grant a role to the group record that I want to use as the owning group
