Hey everyone,
I am doing the Servicenow Administration Fundamentals course at the moment and was wondering why in Lab 4.2 the role was assigned to the apllication as well as the underlying modules.
wouldn´t the roles be inherited to the modules anyway?
Best regards,
EM

Hi @eMaleklo
No, bcz may be user has requirement not to show the modules to all roles , so it is not inherit from Application.

The Modules do not automatically inherit that feature. This is a good way to add a layer of security to your application to restrict access. Using the screenshot you posted, not everyone in the company should have access to create an incident for HHD, view the incident list, or even the application as a whole, which is why they specified the particular people that can see the application and then went further to specify people that can see some of the modules.
