ServiceNow Administrator Jobs?

Jason Riker

Hi all,

First, I apologize if this is the wrong forum to ask this.  If it is, please let me know.

Now to my question ...

I'm changing careers and am wondering if ServiceNow Administrator is itself a full-time job or is it just one of many hats you wear as part of a traditional System Administrator role?

Thank you,

Jason

Hi @Jason Riker

ServiceNow Administrator can be both a full-time job or part of a broader role depending on the size and needs of the organization. In larger enterprises or organizations that heavily rely on ServiceNow for their IT Service Management (ITSM) and other business processes, there may be dedicated ServiceNow Administrators who focus solely on managing and optimizing the ServiceNow platform.

However, in smaller organizations or those with less complex ServiceNow implementations, the responsibilities of a ServiceNow Administrator might be folded into the duties of a broader System Administrator or IT specialist. In such cases, the individual may wear multiple hats and be responsible for managing not only ServiceNow but also other systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.

Hi @Jason Riker ,

It depends on the hiring company. It can be a fulltime job, but it can also be a part of having multiple hats.
