Greetings,
When I share any of the existing dashboards with a specific user so that they can view/ edit. It takes effect when I test it through impersonation.
However, when I create a dashboard from scratch, then share it when a specific user, it always fails when I test it. I keep getting the following messages: "Report visible only to a specific user or group".
I would be grateful if you could help me overcome this issue.
Regards,

Hi @hosmmz if you are getting the "report visible only to a specific user or group" message in the place of "Access to this content denied based on report_view ACLs." message in the below screenshot then please go to the reports which were added to that dash board and share it with the user you want to have it accessible as below.
In your case as I observed that you have shared the dashboard not the report which contains the data and on top of it we need to verify the data restriction to that particular user you are having access to.
Thanks & Regards,
Eswar Chappa

Hello @hosmmz ,
In this case, you have shared the dashboard with a user that you created newly so the user will have access to the dashboard, But you have not shared reports that are under the dashboard with the users That is why you see the message 'Report visible only to a specific user or group'. To resolve this issue you have to go to individual reports that are present in that dashboard and share the report with the same users. Kindly let me know if you have any further questions
Please mark this as the correct answer and helpful if it is resolved, or mark this helpful if this helps you to reach towards solution.

Hi @Eswar Chappa and @Sunny3008 thank you very much for your response. I actually figured that out a few mins later, tried deleting the post but couldn't find the option to do so.
I am extremely grateful for your responses.
Best wishes,
