Short description instead of incident number

Hi, we have an issue: under the related records you can see the short description of the case instead of the case number. It is the same with the parent breadcrumbs. Does anybody recognize this problem? Thanks in advance!

It looks like your display field for incident is set to case.

 

If you navigate to https://yourinstance.service-now.com/sys_dictionary_list.do?sysparm_query=name%3Dincident%5EORnameIN... you should see which field is set to display for the incident table. If this is the case one then you will need to set 'Display' to false.

Have you got a screenshot showing the behaviour you are seeing? It may be due to the display field of the case table but could be something else.

Hi @kr25 ,

 

Go to "configure dictionary" for the field:

And look under the tab "reference specification".

This should be set to e.g. case to refer to the case number of the sn_customerservice_case.
