HI @goat_est92, to become a ServiceNow system administrator. you require a minimum of 3 - 6 months of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform. Once you become familiar with the Now platform you can start your admin certification preparation with proper planning. If you were able to put one month of constant effort towards admin certification. You can clear the Certification exam as well.
If you found my answer helpful, please mark it as helpful @goat_est92 .

@goat_est92 If you are a quick learner, you will take anywhere between 3-6 months to gain good understanding of the platform as a system administrator (Provided you already have good understanding of ITIL processes). It takes at least 6-9 months to gain proficiency as a System administrator on the ServiceNow instance.

Hi @goat_est92,
As someone who recently cleared my CSA exam a few months back. I think I am qualified to answer this question.
Basically, It varies from your previous knowledge of the industry.
But if you have hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform with a minimum of 3-6 months and if you have taken the SNAF course from NowLearning and put a constant effort for 1 month in Practicing the SNAF course and same in your PDI. There are high chances were you can clear the CSA Exam and become a Certified System Administrator @goat_est92.
If my answer helps you to get clarity on how long it will take to become a System Administrator, mark my answer as helpful @goat_est92.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi @goat_est92
It's totally depends on person to person. Average 6-9 months, bcz it need a good hands-on.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

Hi @goat_est92
There is no timeline as such, depends how seriously you are putting in efforts and following the defined path of learnings.
The courses has a limitation, you can get familiarized with the components but working in real time is a different thing altogether, specifically if you are someone starting new.
I would say realistically around 3 months, if you are genuinely putting in efforts.

Hi, that's a very subjective question as will depend on pre-existing skills, experience, academic inclination, if you are actively using ServiceNow and your daily level of use\exposure to the platform.
Can you update with more specific details?
