Dear all,
Can someone give me the business justification on why ServiceNow has made the state field in the table "sysapproval_approver" editable.
Because of this we have seen some approvers changing the state back to 'requested' immediately after approving it.
This is causing issues in the RITM and SCTASK
Regards,
Karthick

Hi @Karthick PS
I doubt it will work here, I never tried this bcz making any changes considered as customization as per my project 😞 . So educate the users to use this wisely and again if I am an approver and taking any action on record (state movement) considered that action taken with full awarness.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

Hi @Karthick PS
A very valid question and we had same issue of our customer. As per my understanding , it is open may be for 1 customer it need to be editable but for other is not required. So SN keep this open and you can restrict as per your need.
Also. to remove dependency on Admin

Thank you @Dr Atul G- LNG .
Will just checking the 'state' field read-only as shown in the below image solve the issue?
or any other recommended way to do? Kindly advise.
