Service Bridge and Child Accounts

Does Service Bridge support integration with child customer accounts that use a common ServiceNow instance?

 

Example:
Customer = Boxeo
Customer Child = Boxeo US
Customer Child = Boxeo CA
Both Customers are using the same ServiceNow Instance = boxeo.service-now.com


Setting up Service Bridge to connect to this companies instance requires setting a company on the connection record. If the company is set to Boxeo on the Service Bridge connection, Tasks with the company set to Boxeo US or Boxeo CA cannot be integrated through ServiceBridge. The response is "Task must have company or account field associated with a service bridge consumer to create a remote task". The only option is to set the company on the record to Boxeo which leads to innaccurate task data.

 

Service Bridge also doesn't allow multiple connections to an instance where you could create a second connection for each child company. Hoping the ServiceNow Service Bridge team can provide some clarity or options?

@Ryan Palamara Is this feature on an available road map? My team is curious because it would  simplify an issue we have where we do support multiple customer accounts on the same remote instance/company.

Hi Matt, it is on the backlog, but don't have a target date at the moment. 

@Ryan Palamara What is the best way to express a need for something like this to be supported OOB? I would love to help push on the prioritization of supporting this use case.

 

We have a similar situation where we support many sub Accounts for a few customers we are integrating with Remote Task Definitions and would like to be able to sync the Case Account field on our side with their task record's Company fields and for the single Service Bridge connection we could have a Case opened on either side for any of the many sub Accounts. 

 

We have a similar use case with some Partners of ours that we support the same customers of and integrations with those partners would need to be able to support Accounts related via the partner (through Account Relationships) as opposed to being related as child Accounts.
