Hi everyone,
I have a quick question regarding the CIS-ITSM exam passing criteria.
Is the exam evaluated based on section-wise minimum scoring, meaning we need to get a minimum number of correct answers in each topic, such as:
1. Incident Management
2. Problem Management
3. Change Management
4. Service Portfolio Management
5. Request Fulfillment
6. Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
OR
Is the final result based on the overall average score, considering all questions combined, regardless of individual topic performance?
If anyone who has already appeared for the exam or has official info can clarify this, it would be really helpful.

No, there is a defined overall cut, but what the exact passing percentage is is unknown. According to the blueprint, it is just stated how many percentage of questions there will be in the different areas.

Exam Results
Mainline Exams:
Your exam is evaluated electronically once you submit the exam. You will receive your exam result immediately after exam completion both on the screen and via email.
- The exam items or your response are never shared with you once the exam has been submitted.
- Calculating your exam result is based solely on the total number of items answered correctly.
- Multi-select exam items must be answered entirely correct. No partial credit is given.
- Result will be stated as pass or fail only.
- A failed exam result will contain section percentages to identify areas for additional study. Averaging the section percentages does not indicate the overall percentage of the exam score or exam result.
- No other scoring information is shared.
