CSA and CAD Exam passing criteria

VarshithY

I have doubt regarding both CSA and CAD exams, which says that 70% is the cutoff score for certification. But how are questions evaluated :
1.Are all 60 questions are evaluated and total score is compared with cutoff score.
2.Or all the questions are divided into six sections and a person has to score atleast 7 question in each section to get certified.

Hi @VarshithY

Tough to say, as passing %age is never disclosed by SN.

Hi @VarshithY

Everything you need to know about exam cut scores and domain percentages is explained here:

https://www.servicenow.com/services/training-and-certification/journey/#/lessons/VlL6wxYvEjMjCGwx-HE...

You'll see that it specifically states that the cut score is NOT always 70%.

The answer to your question is 1. As per the info in the link: "your overall pass/fail status depends solely on your total correct answers compared to the cut score".

Hi @VarshithY ,

As per my exp with Certification (12 mainline certs) , ServiceNow never disclose the exam cutoff score anywhere.

Also (this is not documented any where)An exam proctor once said to me (from his exp) , if you fail in any of the exam domain/section (e.g you have 6 sections, in 5 sections  you got approx 90 but in one section , it is 40)  then also you will fail the exam . If All sections you pass then the total sections' score will be averaged.

So make sure you have covered all the mentioned domains/sections as per exam blueprint fully prior to give the ServiceNow Mainline exams.

@Tanushree Maiti - that is not correct.

If you're going to answer questions on this subject, please read the guidelines, as per the link I supplied, so you understand how the exam scoring process actually works.
