External webcam is required or not for CSA

Hello ,

Can anyone please confirm the camera requirements for the online proctored CSA exam ? Is an external camera required ? or an internal laptop camera is ok ?

This is what I have received confirmation from ServiceNow my learning guide.
for exams taken on the Pearson On VUE platform, an external webcam is NOT required—your laptop’s built-in camera is sufficient.

Please confirm whether I should buy the external camera or not to give the exam

Hi @Hemanthmale,

the external camera is no longer required after the exams were switched to a new platform (Pearson VUE).

You however need the in-built camera of your laptop

I recently took an exam with Pearson and can confirm that an external camera is no longer required for the online proctored exam. Please feel free to proceed with booking your exam.
