Hey everyone,
I still remember the first time I was asked to build a report in ServiceNow.
I stared at the screen for what felt like an hour — not knowing where to start, what data source to use, or how to even make it look decent. I fumbled through a couple of trial-and-error attempts, broke some widgets along the way (sorry, team 😅), and promised myself I'd figure this out for real one day.
Fast forward a few years, dashboards and reports have become one of the most powerful tools in my ServiceNow toolkit. Whether you're tracking incident trends, showcasing KPIs, or just trying to make data speak louder — dashboards tell the story. But it’s only powerful if you know how to use it right.
That’s why I created this full beginner-friendly course:
ServiceNow Dashboards and Reports – A Complete Guide for Beginners
It’s everything I wish someone had walked me through when I started.
Here’s what I cover in the video:
How to build reports that actually get used
Creating and customizing dashboards your team will love
Tips on using data sources, filters, and widgets
A look at Performance Analytics and when to use it
Mistakes I’ve made — so you don’t have to repeat them
Real demos — not just theory
Whether you're a new admin, a business analyst just dipping into ServiceNow, or a developer who’s never touched the Reporting module — this video is for you.
Why it matters:
Dashboards aren’t just pretty visuals. They help teams see what’s working, what’s stuck, and where to act. Learning this early in your ServiceNow journey can make a huge difference in how you support your org.
I’d love to hear from you.
Got stuck somewhere? Built something cool from the tutorial? Let’s talk dashboards! Drop a comment or link your own work — we’re all learning here.
Catch you in the comments,

Thanks so much for the kind words and the honesty @Vishal Jaswal !
I feel you — sometimes even a small "helpful" tap feels like asking for a miracle 😅. But I’m grateful it reached over 200 people, and if even a few walked away with something they can apply, I call that a win.
Let’s keep putting good content out there. The right people will find it. Appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to comment 🙌

Thank you @BillMartin!
210 views and only 2 helpful - I don’t know which world we all are heading to, as a tap/click on like is what we shy away from.
Hope that helps!
