ITSM Implementation Simulator (Paris) - Task 26 - Create a catalog item

Just a FYI for the simulator creators and everyone who is trying to complete this.

On this final task, the first part of the instructions are to:

1. Create a new catalog item named Workshop Setup in the Consulting Practice catalog.

    A. Category = Workshops

    B. Flow = Service Catalog Item Request

However, selecting "Flow = Service Catalog Item Request " results in a validation error with error instructions which basically tell you to re-read the instructions.

After an hour of testing every single task in the catalog item, I changed the setup to:

     'Workflow = Service Catalog Item Request'

and it validated successfully.

We need a service catalog specific to our Consulting practice to request items related to their Marketing, Sales, and Workshop needs.

1. Create a new service catalog named Consulting Practice.

2. Add three categories:

   - Marketing

   - Sales

   - Workshops

Hi @ACripps i come from validate the last task sucessfully, and for me the problem was that i forget to click on Submit in the last Tab "Review and Submit" after made some changes. Because of that the item was always in Draft state when i verified in Maintain Items and it wasn't active. After change that it was Ok.
