Your next big on-demand learning opportunity is here! The ServiceNow Training and Certification Organization is excited to announce the conversion of another of our Instructor-Led Training courses to On Demand format with the release of Discovery Fundamentals!
ServiceNow Discovery lays the groundwork for mature infrastructure operations management. Using probes, sensors, and discovery patterns, this ITOM application captures IP-enabled configuration items (CIs), and maps their relationships and dependencies, in your ServiceNow CMDB. This course is designed for ServiceNow administrators and consultants who need to implement and administer ServiceNow Discovery. When the course is complete, a CIS-Discovery exam voucher will be made available which may require payment.
Using a mix of formats including videos, eLearning, and lab activities you’ll learn everything you need to know to successfully implement and administer the Discovery application. The course starts with an overview to help you understand the big picture of the ServiceNow Discovery solution. Next, you will learn how to install and configure multiple MID Servers. The third module will teach you how to run Discovery. You’ll then learn about Credentials and Behaviors including Credential-less and Credential-based Discovery. The next module covers Phases, Probes, and Classification. You’ll then learn how to configure Discovery to find Linux and Windows Servers, Network Devices, and Applications. Next, learn how to prevent Duplicate CIs with CI Identifiers and create New CI Classes. The course then covers Asset, CI, and File-based Discovery. Finally, learn to extend Horizontal Discovery with custom Infrastructure and Application Patterns and common troubleshooting techniques.
What are you waiting for? Discover Discovery Fundamentals and earn a voucher towards your CIS-Discovery!
