Last week’s blog covered the Certificate Inventory and Management application and training. This week will cover the Agent Client Collector applications and training.
The Agent Client Collector Framework application is an agent that is installed on infrastructure components. The Agent Client Collector executes commands on the machines it is installed on and sends output data to the ServiceNow instance via the MID Server. The management of Agent Client Collector on the ServiceNow instance and MID server is part of the Agent Client Collector Framework application. The Agent Client Collector is a lightweight software agent that runs on the infrastructure components. This scoped app is the part of the ServiceNow instance that allows the management and configuration of the installed Agent Client Collectors.
The Agent Client Collector Monitoring application provides the ability to monitor customer CIs and service availability using the Agent Client Collector, examine the health of your environment, and ensure that your infrastructure and its applications are running properly. This application comes with pre-defined monitoring checks and policies that are applied to the agent. The solution is extendable; the user can define new checks and monitoring policies.
