UI Builder Fundamentals Course - Unable to Complete

Time management for the ServiceNOW courses has been a challenge, as every course has required 2x-5x what's projected on the course card.  Is anyone else having this issue?  I'm losing hours (and perhaps sanity).

Today I'm at 89% of the UI Builder Fundamentals and unable to finish the last part of Lab 5 - Step 15.  I've restarted a few times now and am discovering some of my setup isn't saving (as I verify steps taken, I'll see an empty value, however, when I start to enter said value, it appears in my "last used" list).  I've selected SAVE or CTRL-S frequently, and even deleted my drop down list so I could start from scratch.  Nothing seems to help me resolve this.

The locations list doesn't populate in the preview pane and shows "null" when you hover the mouse over the Dropdown 1 button.

Spoiler
ANSWER:  You must log back in as ADMIN user, and impersonate user, "Zane Sulikowski" (because the admin user isn't part of the Safety Admin Group).

Sure appreciate any advice you have on how to manage my time effectively with the number of setbacks I'm experiencing.  Wondering:  Are the times listed being calculated by the actual time spent by all users who've completed the courses?

Thanks so much!

Hello @aphelps9374  -

Did you followed each step very carefully as in my case when the naming given by them is not followed I ran up in same situation. For me when I was creating Data resource it was mentioned to use label as Issues Locations and ID:issue_locations but in my case, I used label as told but for id since it gets auto-populated I didn't paid much attention and it was auto-populated as issues_locations and in further code it was used as issue_locations.

So might be same with your case, if not do let me know we can have a look together.

Thanks, Viraj.  I don't recall how I resolved the issue and believe I edited the post later so I could share that knowledge with others.  🙂

I'm still struggling to manage actual time requirements though - for completing coursework and certifications.  Do you know if the listed time estimates are populated from real life events or based on the lecture hours for in-person trainings?  Do most users have relative, recent experience?  This isn't negative, as I believe everyone should be well-trained and extremely knowledgeable for the tasks at hand.  I'm just on an extremely tight schedule and need a realistic approach to the requirements so I can plan accordingly.

Hello @aphelps9374

I understand that we all have tight schedules, and sometimes other priorities prevent us from completing courses as planned. Don't worry about the time estimates too much; they are just there to give users an idea of how much time is required to complete the course. The progress percentage on top shows how much of the course you have completed so far.
