Hi @NVKMEENAD - I don't know what course you're taking, but it will include a number of labs which are opportunities to do some practical work on the ServiceNow platform.

You carry out a set of instructions using the lab instances provided. The lab instances are set up with specific demo data relevant to the course you're taking. They're also set up so that they can validate when you've completed the required taks.

Happy learning!

@NVKMEENAD ServiceNow lab instances are preconfigured development instances which are setup based on the need of the course they are associated with.  For e.g. a Lab instance associated with Customer Service Management Fundamentals on demand course will already have all CSM related plugins pre-installed on them. The purpose is to save time of trainees in terms of these plugin installations on a generic instance.

These lab instances also carry some knowledge articles which have all the necessary steps and resources (images/PDFs/Excel/word files) which may be required to complete the lab exercises.

Regarding what should we perform in the lab, as part of trainee of an on demand course, you go through certain topics during the course and in order to practice those topics and to ensure you comprehend the topic well various labs exercises are designed, and to mark the training complete, it is essential to complete these exercises on the lab instances.

Hope this answers your questions.
