Customisations in PDI version upgrade

Hi,

I am planning to upgrade my PDI from Tokyo to Vancouver version. Will the customizations made in previous version remain intact or do I need to take a backup of it?

Hi Anjali,

Ideally, it will not as upgrades will not overwrite customizations you have made but will mark them as skipped records in the ServiceNow Upgrade Monitor. This is not only for PDI for any instance that is upgraded.

In general there should be any impact in relation to customizations that you have made on your PDI.

@Anjali Vaze Your customisations will be skipped from upgrade and the status of skipped records will be shown in the upgrade monitor application.

Post upgrade you can review the skipped records and choose to retain or merge the customisations with latest changes.
