Introducing the Exciting Features of ServiceNow Washington DC Release

Platform Analytics: A New Era for Reporting

In the Washington DC release, ServiceNow has made significant improvements to the platform analytics capabilities, providing users with enhanced data visualization and reporting options. These updates will allow users to gain deeper insights into their data and make more informed decisions.

One of the key enhancements is the ability to color the background of dashboards or individual tabs, allowing users to customize the appearance of their analytics dashboards. Additionally, users can now set the refresh rate for dashboards and display the time of the last refresh, further improving the user experience.

ServiceNow has also introduced a migration utility for users who have existing reports, dashboards, and interactive filters. This utility allows users to easily migrate their existing analytics assets to the new platform, saving time and effort.

Another exciting feature is the introduction of proactive insights in flow designer. This feature uses artificial intelligence to identify trends and anomalies in workflows, providing process owners with timely alerts and possible interventions. This will help improve efficiency and productivity in business processes.

Mobile: Enhancements and New Capabilities

The Washington DC release also brings several enhancements to the mobile experience on ServiceNow. Users will now be able to access zero trust access capabilities directly from the mobile app, improving security and access controls.

Offline mode has also been extended to all apps on the platform, allowing users to access and update data even when they are offline. Users can schedule downloads to ensure they have the latest information available on their mobile devices.

Mobile-embedded web sessions have been extended using the mobile OAuth token, providing a seamless experience between native mobile apps and web sessions.

AI search capabilities have been improved with the introduction of natural language queries in global search. Users can now enter search queries in natural language and get relevant results based on their query.

Automation Engine:

The automation engine in the Washington DC release has also seen significant enhancements. Integration Hub now includes a spoke generator, making it easier for developers to create custom integrations. Automation Center has added new components such as graceful stop, automation log, and simulated mouse events, providing developers with more options for building automation workflows.

Process mining has been added to the automation engine, allowing analysts and process owners to analyze and optimize their business processes. This new feature provides insights into process inefficiencies and helps identify opportunities for improvement.

In addition, security and privacy enhancements have been made, including the ability to assign temporary roles to users, access analyzer for user access comparison, and enhancements to inbound API security and data privacy.

Next Experience and UI Builder:

ServiceNow has also made improvements to the next experience and UI Builder. Keyboard shortcuts have been added to enhance the user experience and accessibility. UI Builder now offers a more user-friendly interface for data binding, making it easier to link UI components to data sources. Column layouts have been further developed to allow easy reordering and customization, and the form builder can now be launched from various tools for easy modification of form layouts.

UI Builder now supports seismic pages, allowing users to create interactive and dynamic pages with ease. Users can also customize the background and tabs of their dashboards, improving the visual appeal of their analytics dashboards.

Creator Studio:

And finally, ServiceNow is introducing Creator Studio, a brand-new development environment that brings together all the features developers need to create applications on the ServiceNow platform. Creator Studio provides a consistent developer experience and supports app templates, app management, and more. This new environment will make it easier for developers of all skill levels to build applications on ServiceNow.

These are just some of the exciting features and enhancements introduced in the Washington DC release of ServiceNow. Upgrading to this new version will provide users with enhanced analytics capabilities, improved mobile experience, and a more streamlined development environment.

Thank you for taking the time to write this up! Do you have any more information about Creator Studio? I'm not seeing any documentation for it (assuming that this is different than Guided App Creator and ServiceNow Studio since those existed prior to Washington, DC)
