We just upgraded our dev instance to Yokohama (from Xanadu) and after a store sync we found that there are 167 (!) store apps to update.
I know of some scripts floating around that can do this, but I am always afraid of using them, because often these apps have dependencies and they make it difficult to check on skipped changes.
I am not sure why ServiceNow is moving more and more to the store, but have not yet tackled the issue of updating them, besides clicking one by one (I know I can schedule them, but that is still per app).
Has anyone come across a more practical solution for this, or know if ServiceNow is planning to solve this themselves?

It has been a mess since ServiceNow started with this. Updating 160+ store apps one by one is not something you really want to spend your valuable time on.
I am not sure why ServiceNow never did anything to make this a better experience for their clients and I really hope they are working on something related to this, although it is core platform and that doesn't always gets the attention it deserves/needs.
But you can check on my earlier post (link). One of our customers had the same (time consuming) issues with this and after building a solution for them, we decided to use our experience with that project to create a Store app for it (Store App Update Streamliner). It is free to download and use.
You can even have groups manage their own plugins/apps so it doesn't all come down to that one guy everyone always asks to do so.

Hi @WBit
If you ask me, I would not prefer to auto-update the plugins because it could cause a big mess if something doesn’t work, making it difficult to identify which plugin update caused the issue.
It’s better to update the apps one by one manually.
