Hi Team,
I am currently facing an issue related to a plugin upgrade and would appreciate your guidance.
In our Dev instance, I upgraded the Workflow Studio plugin. However, the update was accidentally captured in a custom application scope update set. Since the scopes are different, when the update set was migrated to the SIT instance, the plugin was upgraded successfully, but the dependent OOTB flows and related application artifacts were also moved to the custom application scope (Some subflows and flows specifically).
As a result, I am unable to uninstall or roll back the plugin changes. Could you please advise if there is a way to resolve this issue and restore the affected components to their correct scope?
Thank you very much for your assistance and response.
Regards,
Poorvi

Hi @pokulkarni The best solution, in my view, would be to clone SIT from PROD and proceed from there, or reinstall the plugin if needed. I would avoid rolling back or uninstalling or repairing, as that might mess up the instance. Cloning would be a safer approach and should resolve the issue.

Hi @pokulkarni ,
1. First make the update set ignored. Do not move the update set to prod.
Recapture the custom app update into new update set and move.
( Note: When next clone will take place in SIT, it will be gone)
2. Manually install plugin in SIT.
Hope it will work.

Thanks for the response. I understand the need to be cautious to Production.
However, could you suggest what our best course of action would be for the SIT instance at this point? Some of the OOB updates introduced as part of the plugin upgrade have impacted records and are in custom scope now that we had migrated. I'm trying to understand the recommended approach to address these changes and ensure the instance remains aligned.

Hi @pokulkarni ,
I tested this in my PDI and was able to roll back the Plugin installation successfully. When you click rollback could you please check if there is a checkbox called "Rollback App Installs" when performing the rollback?
If you select that option and proceed with the rollback, it should uninstall the plugin as well.
Thank you
