Hi @XINGD ,

Not possible, it would have been allocated to someone else

Hello @XINGD ,

I’ve come across similar situations before where the PDI unexpectedly went into a recycled or inactive state. It can definitely be inconvenient—especially when you have ongoing configurations or development work.

Just a quick reminder: since PDIs are offered as part of the developer program for learning purposes, they don’t have guaranteed uptime or support like paid environments. In many cases, recycled instances might not be recoverable once they’re purged from the system.

What you can try:

  • Give it a little more time (if it was a temporary recycle, it might come back).

  • If it doesn’t, you may need to release the current instance from the developer portal and request a fresh one.

  • For the future, regularly exporting your work using update sets or source control can help avoid data loss during such cases.

Here’s an official link you can refer to for more guidance:

Hello @XINGD ,

Just wanted to check in to see if my earlier response helped you out or if you're still facing any issues. If your query is resolved, it would be great if you could mark my reply as helpful and accept it as the solution — that way it can also benefit others who come across the thread later.😊

Also, if you found any other responses helpful, feel free to mark those as helpful too. You can even accept multiple solutions if they contributed to resolving your issue.

Let me know if you need anything else!

Hi @XINGD

Once a PDI is taken back, it typically means it has been wiped out and reallocated to someone else. So, what you're looking for is most likely not possible. I’ve heard of one or two rare cases where someone managed to get the same PDI back, but the chances of that happening are extremely low — around 0.0001%.
