Hi @Umesh G

Its NOT SNOW.. its SN or ServiceNOW

I've been using PDI without any issues since this morning, but I've noticed several posts in the community about PDI being offline. Here are some points to consider:

  1. There is no support available for PDI.
  2. If you can wait, let's wait a bit longer.
  3. You can release this instance and start a new one, but you will lose your previous data. To avoid losing update sets in the future, make sure to take regular backups of your PDI.

There have been 3-4 posts in the community today about PDI failures or unavailability. Based on the responses, you might need to wait 1-2 days and hopefully, the PDI will be back online.

Hi @Umesh G

When your ServiceNow PDI (Personal Developer Instance) goes offline, it usually happens due to inactivity. Instances are automatically reclaimed after a certain period of inactivity or become unavailable due to maintenance of PDIs.

Things to keep in mind-

1. ServiceNow does not have support available for PDI.
2. Usually, you can wait for some time if it says the instance will be available after the scheduled maintenance. You can wait around 3-4 days if you have some development done on PDIs without having a backup.
3. Another way is that you can release your current instance or request a new one if it's urgently required.
4. Please backup your changes every time, whenever you leave your PDIs after some development POCs to avoid unexpected delay.

Hi @Umesh G

As you might know, there is no support available from ServiceNow in relation to PDIs, hence you're limited to two options:

  1. Wait, it should come online after some time.
  2. Release your instance and request a fresh installation. Please note, all development work that hasn't been backed up will be lost for good.

Instance available now automatically after 1 day!

Best Regards,

Umesh

@Umesh G

You're welcome! Glad to hear your instance is available again. Sometimes PDIs come back online automatically after some time, typically within 1-2 days. It's always a good idea to wait patiently before taking further action.

As per the new community guidelines you can mark multiple accepted solution.
